Dr Indra SeherProgram Director - Information Systems
Dr Seher has a PhD from Western Sydney University in Computing and Information Technology. Her professional career spans over two decades. She has worked in the IT industry and as an academic with extensive experience in teaching, designing, and coordinating tertiary level courses in Information Systems. She is an active researcher in the areas including Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, and Natural Language Processing.
Dr Seher worked as a Project Manager at the Western Sydney University and also extends her work as a Reviewer/ Programme committee member/Technical committee member for several international conferences. She was a reviewer/editor for textbooks as well. Dr Seher was a course advisor for postgraduate and undergraduate students and also represented various University-level committees. Dr Seher currently serves on the Course Industry and Advisory Committee of Southern Academy of Higher Education. She is currently supervising researches of postgraduate students as well.
Dr Seher will continue to work as an academic with teaching and research that allows her to develop her research career by exploring her potential in the field of Computing and IT through professional work, dedication and innovative and challenging frame of mind.
Mr Alexander MengeProgram Director - Hospitality Management
Mr Alex Menge is an experienced and passionate hospitality professional who holds a Master’s degree of International Hospitality & Hotel Management from Western Sydney University. He has over 30 years industry and teaching experience in the field of hospitality. Over the last 7 years, Alex has enhanced his academic experience in the role of Program Manager – Hospitality Management Undergraduate at the International College of Management Sydney (ICMS).
In 2015 Alex was awarded the Most outstanding graduating student in the Master of International Hospitality & Hotel Management at Western Sydney University. During his 18-year career at ICMS, Alex received several awards for his Excellence in Teaching. He has also been a professional member of The Council for Tourism and Hospitality Education (CAUTHE) and Meetings and Events Australia (MEA).
As Program Director – Hospitality Management at CIM, Mr Menge has the responsibility of leading academic operations of Bachelor of Business – Hospitality Management major.
Dr Ahmad ShahidProgram Director - Accounting
Dr. Ahmad Usman Shahid has a PhD in Accounting and Corporate Governance from Macquarie University, Australia. His professional career spans over a decade. He has worked in accounting practice and as an academic with broader experience in teaching, designing, and coordinating tertiary-level courses in accounting. Engaged in dynamic and impactful research, he stands as an active and committed researcher in accounting, auditing, and international business in general. His research program adopts an interdisciplinary approach to improving the quality of accounting, auditing, accountability, sustainability, and governance across countries adopting international accounting and governance standards.
His contributions to the academic world, business, global NGOs, and governments have been recognized by awards, international research grants, invitations to provide research leadership to overseas universities, and invitations by governments to improve accounting and governance. He has published in leading scholarly journals, defined as those ranked as A and B by the Australian Business Deans’ Council. His publications are widely cited in the literature and include 1031 citations (704 since 2018), an h-index of 8, and an i10-index of 8 (Google Scholar). He is on the review board of eight scholarly journals, including International Journal of Managerial Finance, Asian Review of Accounting, Journal of Accounting and Organizational Change, International Journal of Bank Marketing, International Journal of Emerging Markets, Emerging Markets Finance, and Trade, Sustainable Development, and International Journal of Social Economics. Dr. Shahid has also supervised postgraduate students and received an international research grant from the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.
Dr. Shahid’s dedicated service as a lecturer at COMSATS University Islamabad, Pakistan, spanned over five years, where he not only excelled in teaching but also actively contributed to the academic community. Beyond the classroom, he assumed the roles of a Presenter, Reviewer, and Program Committee Member for numerous national and international conferences, showcasing his commitment to advancing scholarly dialogue on a global scale. Dr. Shahid’s academic influence is extended to various corners of the world, with active involvement in conferences held in Australia, Turkey, and Pakistan. His impact was not confined to teaching and research alone; Dr. Shahid took on the crucial role of a course advisor for undergraduate programs, counseling students on their academic journeys. Moreover, his leadership extended to leading university-level committees, including pivotal roles in accreditation and compliance committees. Through these responsibilities, Dr. Shahid demonstrated not only his expertise in academia but also his commitment to overall institutional development and compliance with academic standards.
