Emmanuel Junior Tenakwah holds a PhD in Business from Western Sydney University, as well as a Master of Philosophy, Bachelor, and Diploma in Accounting from the University of Ghana. Emmanuel is currently the program director of Accounting (Undergraduate) at Canterbury Institute of Management – Darwin Campus. He has over twelve years of combined experience in academia and professional practice.
In professional practice, Emmanuel served as an internal auditor for a diversified group of companies spanning manufacturing, logistics and supply, hospitality, and financial services.
In academia, he has developed and delivered numerous Accounting related units at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels across various universities and higher education providers in New South Wales.
His research interests focus on corporate accounting, corporate governance, corporate social responsibility, financial reporting, multinational sustainable development, and sustainable technologies in education and business. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals. Passionate about teaching, Emmanuel particularly values active student participation in class discussions, seeing it as an essential component of the learning experience.
