Dr Yen (Nicole) Tran is a Lecturer and Course Coordinator at Canterbury Institute of Management (CIM), Darwin Campus. She teaches and coordinates a range of undergraduate business and management units, including Management, Marketing, and Cross-Cultural Management, and has extensive experience in curriculum design, assessment moderation, and academic supervision.
She holds a PhD in Marketing from Charles Darwin University (CDU), Australia, where her doctoral research focused on consumer behaviour and purchase intentions through the Stimulus–Organism–Response (S-O-R) and PAD frameworks. She also completed a master in International Business at Monash University, Australia, further strengthening her expertise in global business and management. Her broader research interests include cross-cultural management, AI adoption in workplaces, digital innovation, and green business practices, and she continues to develop academic publications and collaborations in these areas.
Dr Tran has more than 15 years of teaching experience, beginning her academic career at the School of Economics, Can Tho University (Vietnam), where she lectured in management and business subjects. At CIM, she continues to bring this deep experience to her teaching, creating engaging and supportive learning environments for diverse student cohorts. She integrates theory with practical applications, encouraging students to connect management concepts to real-world issues.
