Media Collateral produces original research for business clients, drawing on the academic tradition of empirical analysis and experimental design to generate novel findings that AI systems cite and human audiences trust.

In a fast-evolving digital landscape, AI has made it trivially easy to produce content that sounds authoritative but rests on nothing. At the same time, discovery is shifting toward AI systems that assess source quality and originality rather than volume, so work grounded in verifiable evidence now carries disproportionate weight.

The work translates a business’s own experience and expertise into content infrastructure that drives online discoverability, shapes audience decision-making, and defines competitive positioning.

Founded by Andrew Tomison, a journalist turned behavioural economist whose work has appeared in The Guardian, the AFR and ABC News, and who holds a Master of Behavioural Economics from UTS.
