Ms Caroline da Silva is a Lecturer in Accounting at the Canterbury Institute of Management (CIM), Sydney Campus. She holds a Master of Accounting from the University of Blumenau (FURB), Brazil, and is currently a third-year PhD candidate in Accounting and Corporate Governance at Macquarie University, Sydney.
Ms da Silva has tertiary teaching experience in both Brazil and Australia. Her teaching areas include auditing and assurance, actuarial studies, financial accounting, corporate accounting, and forensic accounting.
Her research focuses on auditor litigation risk, ESG reputation risk, media coverage, and corporate fraud. She has contributed to the field through peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, doctoral symposiums, and academic peer reviewing.
