Edward Tran is a Lecturer in Hospitality and Tourism Management at Canterbury Institute of Management, Darwin campus. He has over 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry, having built his career across various areas including housekeeping, food and beverage, events, and front office.
Throughout his career, Edward has held a range of roles, from overseeing daily operations to managing front office teams. This diverse experience has provided him with a strong understanding of hotel and resort operations, exceptional customer service, and the ability to create memorable “sparkle moments” in the hospitality business.
Edward holds a Master of Professional Accounting and a Bachelor of Hospitality Management, allowing him to blend business acumen with practical operational knowledge. In his teaching, he incorporates real-world industry examples through interactive activities, case studies, and excursions to help students connect theory with practice.
